Sacramento’s Destroy Boys Rock the Main Stage at Punk Rock Bowling in Vegas

Destroy Boys

Destroy Boys, formed in Sacramento in 2015, rocked the Main Stage on day 2 of Punk Rock Bowling XXIV, which took place May 24-27, 2024, in Las Vegas, NV. Each day featured 6 bands on the Main Stage, plus 6 more on the Monster Street Party Stage, not to mention over 130 bands playing late night club shows from Friday to Monday.

Destroy Boys played an 11 song set, beginning with “Shadow (I’m Breaking Down)”, and ending with “B.F.F.”. They even played a cover of The Clash’s “Should I Stay Or Should I Go”. Their set began a little after 5pm, which is a tough draw in the Vegas heat, but there was a good sized crowd who were enjoying the set while trying to stay hydrated. (Fans from Sacramento looked at those from cooler climates with side-eye, as it was only in the mid 90s…rookies!)

The show headliners were Descendents on day 1, DEVO on day 2, and Madness on day 3. Other highlights included Gorilla Biscuits, Quicksand, Gogol Bordello, Stiff Little Fingers, 999, Billy Bragg, Rocket From the Crypt, Lagwagon, Subhumans, and more. For a complete list of bands see the festival bands page and club shows page on the PRB website.
