During summer’s first weekend in Pasadena, CA, Goldenvoice produced their first Arroyo Seco Weekend music festival at the Pasadena Rose Bowl. The two-day festival was hosted on grass in the surrounding area of the Rose Bowl where attendees could relax, enjoy amazing food and listen to some of their favorite bands from long ago, while also getting to hear some of today’s most celebrated acts.
Among the biggest names, the legendary Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers joined the likes of Mumford and Sons, Weezer, Alabama Shakes, Fitz and the Tantrums and many more.
The festival hosted 3 music stages with curated menus from some of Los Angeles’ favorite chefs and restaurants. I wish I had unlimited amounts of money because I am pretty sure everything there was actually worth the typical novelty festival price. I particularly was a fan of Ridge’s Churro Bar – a dessert truck – that makes churro sundaes. The Fruity Pebble Churro Sundae was a great choice. Many people did make it a family affair, bringing out the picnic blankets and lawn chairs to sit back and try to stay cool in the hot summer heat.

It was a lovely weekend spent in Pasadena, CA, for Arroyo Seco Weekend.
