SacAnime will bring an estimated audience of over 20,000. The event will be held Sept. 2-4 at the Sacramento Convention Center.

The family friendly event attracts cosplayers from throughout northern California to the bi-annual convention. Attendees will experience cosplaying activities as well as panels and workshops that include game developers, voice actors, artists, comic book creators and vendors.

There are some free (and paid) autograph sessions. Some of the special guests include Troy Baker (voice of the Joker in Batman: Origins), Steve Blum , voice actor (X-Men, Wolverine and Cowboy Bebop), Mary Elizabeth McGlynn (voice over actress, writer, singer and director), Roger Craig Smith (the voice of Ezio from Assassin’s Creed) and the Power Rangers Turbo cast.

SacAnime will also feature a cosplay costume contest, exhibitor room featuring hundreds of vendors and artists, a karaoke and music video contests, video game tournaments, family friendly late night electronic dance, The Starlight Ball, amateur art contest and kid zone hosted by the Sacramento Public Library and much more.

The convention has a tremendous supporting community that gives attendees, for the most part, the feeling that they have a safe and ejoyable place to meet.

More information can be found SacAnime’s website. Also, don’t forget that meter parking hours have changed around the Convention Center so please plan accordingly.
