SnowGlobe Music Festival: a Winter Wonderland Extravaganza

snowglobe music

Despite the fact that SnowGlobe is only in its fourth year, this 3-day festival has proven to be a hot spot for a proper New Year’s Eve celebration for music artists and fans alike. South Lake Tahoe provides the perfect backdrop for fans to enjoy ski and snowboard activities by day and some of 2014’s top live acts by night.

This year’s festival covers over 10,000 square feet at Bijou Park on the Lake Tahoe Community College campus where 3 stages, art installations and live snowboard and skiing demos will take place over the three day event. This year’s electronic powerhouse line-up features headliners Skrillex, Disclosure, Porter Robinson and Zedd, with Flume’s set closing out the main stage for the NYE countdown.

The heavily electronic influenced line-up also includes Flux Pavilion, Odesza, Thomas Jack, hip-hop group Atmosphere, and many more well-respected supporting act. Check out Snowglobe’s 2014 line-up to see all the artists who will be performing.

5 things to look forward to seeing at SnowGlobe this year:

1. Classixx

2. Cherub

3. Porter Robinson

4. Flume

5. The venue–filled with art installations and live paintings.

And the party doesn’t stop at the festival: single day ticket and wristband holders are granted access into the SnowGlobe after parties, taking place throughout South Lake Tahoe’s night clubs. With nine different after parties occurring throughout the 3-day event, this is a great opportunity for attendees who have schedule conflicts preventing them from seeing everyone they wanted to at the festival. After party hosts include Bro Safari, Odesza, Flux Pavilion, What So Not and many more.

3-day festival passes and single day tickets for 12/31 have sold out, but if you’re still interested in attending the festival and haven’t bought tickets yet there’s still single-day passes available for December 29 & 30.

Fans who’ve already purchased tickets or festival passes can take advantage of shuttle access that transports attendees from the Montblue Casino and festival site. SnowGlobe also teamed up with RYDE, a motorcoach transportation, for attendees traveling from San Jose, San Francisco, Sacramento and other nearby destinations. RYDE will be offering rides to and from the event December 28 & 29 from select destinations. Find more information at rydethere.com.

This festival is for adventure seekers and music lovers alike. Be sure to come dressed warm and prepared for some of the world’s best live music.
