Sacramento’s Downtown Plaza in its Final, Gasping Days

Take a good look around. The Downtown Plaza is seeing its final days before the wrecking ball hits. You’re going to have to move fast to get in your final memories of the much maligned mall that in its glory days featured the likes of Weinstocks, America Live and Hard Rock Café, but is now making way for the new Kings arena. Ah, progress!

I took one last trip through the Plaza last week, and recorded that nostalgic trip for posterity. I can’t say I’m sad to see the end of mall, which has been in steady decline for several years. But still.

What do you think: Is it about time or sad to see it go?
