Officers responded to a single vehicle accident into a light pole. Officers arrived within minutes of the call and found the driver trapped inside the vehicle. Sacreamento Fire Department arrived on scene, extricated the driver from the vehicle and began lifesaving efforts. The 17-year-old male driver was transported to a local hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries. A passenger was also located on scene, sustained minor injuries and was transported to the hospital. Major Traffic Collision Unit responded to the scene to conduct the investigation.
