Black Friday early open proves positive

TRUXEL WALMART- Shoppers found great deals on large TV's

Both retailers and law enforcement officers were initially pleased and pleasantly surprised by the “early open” Black Friday Activity.

As we dropped in on several Black Friday locations late Thursday evening, some retailers related that not only were their crowds calmer than previous years, but their revenue was markedly up over last year.

Up till 10 p.m. Thursday evening, on site Sacramento Police officers related that no incidents had occurred at Arden Fair Mall.

Target employees, who have worked several Black Fridays, stated that the whole tempo was much improved and they noted that they had less intoxicated customers which they attributed to the earlier opening.

Later Friday a protest incident was reported with fifteen arrests at the Roseville Walmart.
