Maita Honda concert series September lineup and August recap

Entering the last month of summer, Maita Honda Sunrise at Night Concerts series is wrapping up its 2nd annual concert series. Located in Citrus Heights, the Sunrise Outdoor Pavilion is an excellent venue to host this event. Shows started in the month of August with Dave Koz and Friends Summer Horns tour and ends September 14th with Diamond Rio with John Michael Montgomery. With food vendors, OMG Yogurt, Jimboys, Pizza Guys, and Bubba’s Barbecue, you have a variety to choose from. Full alcohol bar and non-alcohol beverages available also. You can also place your order with cocktail servers walking thru the concert from all seating sections except from the bleachers, now that is service. The seating arrangements are designed so you can get an excellent view of the stage from every angle and with 2500 seats to choose from. The acoustics sounds great and is balanced so that you can hear from the back comfortably and still not be deaf in the front rows. Lighting on the stage is phenomenal for the performers, the fans and yes even for the photographers. Restrooms are located in 2 convenient areas with hand wash stations and also a smoking section.With kind and helpful ushers at every entrance and aisle, they will help you find your seat and answer any questions. Parking is free and abundant with the mall parking lot a few hundred feet away. So no purchasing of parking passes, no long walks, lines cars and crowds waiting to leave the show.

In the month of August, the Maita Honda Sunrise at Night Concerts series started bringing in the biggest and top musical talents that has won or has been nominated for Grammy Awards, and produced gold and platinum worldwide sales. The first show was on August, 10th with Dave Koz and Friends Summer Horns Tour 2013 featuring Mindi Abair, Gerald Albright and Richard Elliot. This multi-platinum quartet of saxophonist brings jazz into the summer night with personal hits from each of the artist and from the new album they created titled Summer Horns.

Also BOYZ II MEN with BELL BIV DEVOE graced the stage August 15th with an old school hip hop, R&B show for the ages. BELL BIV DEVOE took attendees back to the time of house parties with hip hop dancing from that era. And BOYZ II MEN blessed us with their Grammy and platinum hits.

August 24th was the Sail Rock Tour featuring Christopher Cross, Orleans, Gary Wright, Firefall, John Ford Coley, Robbie Dupree and Player. This was a classic rock night for all ages

. August 29th Trace Adkins brought country into the venue with Rachel Steele and Road 88 opening up as the local act. Adkins performed his legendary music and multiple charts topping hits and Rachel Steele and Road 88 had the energy and country songs for the crowd to cheer to. To think that’s only one month of artists to grace the Maita Honda Sunrise at Night Concert series is incredible.

MAITIA HONDA SUNRISE AT NIGHT SERIES
With one month left, this should be an exciting month to close out with. On September 5th, #1 Christian contemporary singer Amy Grant blesses the stage with Lincoln Brewster. With 6 Grammys and over 30 million albums sold, Amy Grant is one of the most award winning and top selling Christian artist in the world. With Lincoln Brewster, a new and upcoming Christian contemporary singer, they will bring fellowship into the summer. On September 7th, Bachman & Turner with Blue Oyster Cult will rock you back in time. With hits from the 70’s, Bachman & Turner will have fans remembering the good days of their time in that era. Blue Oyster Cult is a legendary band in itself and will rock the night out. September 13th, it is Friday Night Fever with sister Sledge, Tavares, The Trammps f/t Earl Young and Taste of Honey. This is disco, flash back night for the ages and this show will be hosted by Deney Terrio. To end the summer, on September 14th, Diamond Rio with John Michael Montgomery closes the summer with some country music. Diamond Rio has sold over 10 million albums earning three platinum and five gold records and won the Country Music Association’s Vocal Group of the Year award four times as well as netting two. John Michael Montgomery has also won CMA’s Single and Song of the Year, Billboard’s Top Country Artist, and also has been Grammy nominated.
