A grass fire erupted next to the Two Rivers Bike Trail along the American River, Thursday afternoon. With trees and brush burning between North 7th and North 10 Streets, Metro Fire’s Copter2 aided with water drops, drafting water from the American River. "The cause in an area like this is always suspicious," said Battalion and Logistics Chief Jonathan Williams of the Sacramento Fire Department, and often due to a homeless person’s campfire improperly extinguished.
