Raley Field introduces Fourth on the Field party

Looking to brave the heat for Independence Day? You could spend your Fourth on the Field, complete with cool drinks and food truck fare.

The inaugural Fourth on the Field event kicks off at Raley Field with picnic-style games – think potato sack races, pie eating contests and relay races. Rockin’ Down the Hiway will perform live. The band calls their performance a “theme show designed to take audiences on a journey through the world of hot rods, cruising, road trips, highways.”

Fifteen food trucks – including Wicked ‘Wich, Fuzion Eatz, An Honest Pie and Squeeze Inn – will fill the outfield offering a variety of cuisines, and both alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages will be available for purchase throughout the evening from the trucks as well as the field concession stands.

Once the sun has gone down, the fireworks extravaganza will begin.

Fourth on the Field begins at 6:00 p.m. on July 4th and ends at 10:00 p.m., after the fireworks. Adult tickets are $8, and the first 1,000 children to arrive will receive free admission with the purchase of an adult ticket. Following that, children’s’ tickets will be $5. Tickets can be purchased here, or at the Raley Field tickets office.
