4th Annual ‘Flea’ Market returns to county animal shelter

Bargain hunters and treasure seekers will find fantastic bargains at Sacramento County Animal Care’s ever-popular “Flea” Market, June 15-16, from 8a – 4p. In its fourth year, this giant yard sale is one of the largest in the area and promises something for every shopper, with all proceeds benefitting the shelter’s animals.

Flea Market purchases are cash only and savvy shoppers will find a great variety of household items, furniture, antiques/vintage treasures, patio/garden and bed/bath items, children’s toys, electronics, pet products and holiday décor. Be sure to arrive early on Saturday and Sunday for the best selection. And, new this year is Special Truckload Deals beginning at 3 p.m. on Sunday.

More than $13,000 was raised at last year’s event aiding the 15,000 dogs, cats, rabbits, reptiles, birds, and livestock the shelter cares for each year.

Donations of gently-used items are still being accepted by the public and arrangements can be made for drop off or pickup by calling 916-971-1167 or emailing SacCountyShelterFleaMarket@yahoo.com.

The County Animal Shelter is open Wednesday through Friday from 12:30 – 5:30 p.m., Saturday and Sunday from Noon–4:30 p.m. and is closed Monday and Tuesday and most holidays. The shelter is located at 3839 Bradshaw Road, one mile south of Highway 50.  View available animals and lost/found pets at www.animalcare.saccounty.net.
