Frill Seeker: Summer fun with Krazy Mary’s

This week I had the priviledge of checking out the super femme-edgy boutique, Krazy Mary’s. It’s been one of my favorites since high school, when I’d stop by during every Second Saturday when it was located on J Street next to its sister shop, Sugar Shack. Now the boutique is located at 3230 Folsom Blvd., in East Sacramento, across from La Fem, which is a neat used, vintage and consignment shop. Here are my four favorite looks for summer from Krazy Mary’s!

Happily Ever After

Loved the fairytale feel of Tower Cafe during the sunset, it went perfectly with this outfit.

This sweet cream and tie-dyed maxi is the perfect dress for any special occasion, transitioning from spring to fall. The fitted bodice with a sweetheart bustline is flattering for all body types, and especially for those that have a smaller bust.
I paired this fairytale dress with this rad mauve marbled bobble necklace that was locally made by Tomicko Abella. I am a huge fan of bobble necklaces, which is clear if you checked out my last article from Heart Boutique. They’re the perfect statement necklaces for any super feminine outfit.

Sweatin’ it out

I thought this edgy “Keith Richards” graphic was all too fitting in front of Dimple Records.

I was diggin’ this Keith Richards tank that’s perfect to dress up or down. I decided to step into this form-fitting neon pencil skirt. I love pairing baggy tanks with a more feminine bottom; it’s the perfect way to achieve a sexy, edgy look for a perfect night out with the girls, or for checking out a local concert at Ace of Spades. The baggy fit of the tank helps keep the fabric off your skin during the hot, 100-degree weather that will soon be upon us this summer.
I was in love with the crystal bracelets and necklaces that were made by Elisa Gonsalves Designs. I loved that even though the crystal and layers of chains give these accessories a roughed-up look, the jewelry really completes the sweet and simple ensemble I picked out at Krazy Mary’s. The iridescent and chunky look of the crystals really plays off the edgy vibe that I get from this Keith Sweat graphic.

Sweet ‘n’ chic

This outfit is effortless and perfect for a day at the park!

I loved this outfit because it’s the perfect effortless look for everyday wear. This peach, loosely knitted sweater is perfect for those chilly summer days. I loved the crocheted part around the bustline that really lets the wind flow through, and is perfect to pair with a cute bandeau underneath or be worn as a swimsuit cover-up to the pool!
These striped, scalloped shorts really give this look a nautical feel. I really liked the thin horizontal stripes, and I liked pairing this very feminine sweater with a pair of schoolgirl shorts to achieve a collegiate look. I finished this look off with a pair of TOMS sunnies that are adorable and perfect to shield my eyes from the sun’s harmful rays this summer.

Yoga in the park

I loved combination of the greenery in the background and this tye dye green ensemble.

I loved the massive amounts of tie-dye and ombre fabrics in the clothes at Krazy Mary’s, especially this comfy, thin, long-sleeve shirt and leggings that are perfect for doing some yoga in the park! The sweet circle cutout in the back makes this the perfect top for early morning or night yoga when the weather is cooler. It provides the right amount of coverage, but gives the body air when the sun is still out.

Be sure to check out the boutique’s Facebook page and Instagram: @krazymarys_sugarshack to stay up to date on the latest fashions and new merchandise coming out at the store!
