Tyler the Creator at Ace of Spades

The energy was undeniable this past Friday, May 17, at Ace of Spades. The jam-packed sold-out show had a room full of Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All (OFWGKTA) fans. Once Tyler the Creator took the stage with Earl Sweatshirt and Taco, the energy was insane! Throughout his performance, he talked about his experience living in Sacramento, as well as interacting with the audience in a raunchy but humorous manner.

My favorite song of the night was “Drop,” because the bass was intense and it had the crowd going crazy the whole time. He maintained a full house the entire night, keeping the audience fully engaged. If you really enjoyed his performance here, you should definitely check out his Vine account (TylerTheCreator). If you have an iPhone, it’s laugh-out-loud funny!

Not only was the performance great, but the street style I observed at the concert was inspiring to see. A lot of the shirts were inspired by the OFWGKTA style of psychedelic patterns, upside-down crosses and graphic tees. It reminds me of the same edgy vibe that Bows & Arrows and Cuffs carry in their stores.
