Summer essentials at Heart Boutique

This weekend, May 18-19, I stopped by Heart Boutique, located at 19th Street and Capitol Avenue in Midtown. I’ve been dying to do a shoot with this boutique simply for their amazing accessories, but their statement pieces are also stunning. I was such a huge fan of the knuckle rings they carry that I bought two, one with an all-seeing eye and the other with “love” in cursive! They have a ton of high-waisted shorts, too.

The perfect combination

Outfit 1: peachy pink embellished tank with cutout back, black high-waisted shorts with crotchet detail, elephant ring, all-seeing eye knuckle ring, “love” knuckle ring, peace sign knuckle ring and black infinity bangle from Heart Boutique. Shoes from Cuffs Boutique (Sacramento).

I loved pairing these pieces together because they embody everything I’ve been stoked about in my summer wardrobe. The top has an embellished collar and cutouts, which makes this top effortless because you don’t need to think about accessories since you’re already blinged out! Nothing is more flattering than a pair of high-waisted shorts on a girl to really highlight your waist.

Who. What. Wear. Wedding?!

Outfit 2: jade chiffon evening dress with gypsy sleeves, bobble necklace, and claw and jade ball cuff from Heart Boutique. Shoes from Steve Madden.

When you receive a wedding invitation, so much comes to mind: Where is it? What is the weather going to be like? Daytime or nighttime? But most importantly, what am I going to wear?! Wedding season is upon us and I thought this number from Heart Boutique is the perfect effortless dress for weddings. It can be worn during the day or night, indoors or outdoors! It also comes in a light pink color, which I think would look great on any skin tone! I am a huge fan of the bobble necklaces Heart Boutique carries and thought one of them was the perfect statement necklace to pair with this dress. I love the gypsy sleeves in the dress—they give a sense of mystery and create a lot of movement when you’re walking by. The cinched bustline was really flattering and allows the dress to fan out with a romantic silhouette.

Girls’ night out

Outfit 3: high-low dress with cheetah print and stud embellishment, infinity bangle, white and gold chunky bangle from Heart Boutique. Shoes are from Urban Outfitters and leopard bracelet from Madam Butterfly (Sacramento).

I loved that this dress embodies everything I find sexy in women’s wear: pink, studs and leopard print. When I saw this it looked like a great dress to wear for a girls’ night out to dinner or chocolate fondue for dessert! I love that it gives an appearance of being a top and skirt combination, and that each block really accentuates the body. The white block and stud detailing adjacent to the leopard-patterned blocks give the upper body a more busty appearance, while the hi-low skirt silhouette shows off just enough leg.

Pool-side chillin’

Outfit 4: striped floral-print romper with cutout back and black infinity chunky bangle from Heart Boutique. Shoes from Urban Outfitters.

This is the perfect cover-up for hitting the pool or beach this summer! I loved the athletic cut of the back that really shows off my shoulders. The cinched waist also accentuates your booty by showing off your true waistline.

If you liked what you saw be sure to check out the store on 1903 Capitol Ave or online! They always post great product shots on their Instagram as well: @heartboutique.
