Mardi Gras 2013 Old Sacramento [PHOTOS]

Old Sacramento’s 2013 Mardi Gras event was a great turnout. People ordered their tickets in advance and also many others purchased their VIP bracelets at the door of their favorite bar in the Old Sac area. This event was not only for the 21 and over, there were many families out and about walking around, making special visits to food venues like Joe’s Crab Shack, and La Terreza, who were offering front of line access and food and drink specials throughout the night.

The Old Sacramento event was not the Mardi Gras that one would think with traditional New Orleans style, lots of outdoor live music and the ever entertaining "Throwing of Beads", but more of a semi calm night with friends and families heading out to enjoy a fun and safe night. With many patrons staying in their favorite bars, such as Fanny Anne’s, or the Other Office, for the night and enjoying either the live music or the drink specials.

And if you couldnt’t find the right mask or certain color of beads you wanted at the stores in the area, there were also a number of vendors outside local bars to provide you with the perfect attire for the evening.
