  • Art Mix/Local Love: Crocker Art Museum; Thurs, Feb 14, 5pm-9pm: Show Sacramento some love at this month’s celebration of local creativity. Enjoy live musical performances, installations & demonstrations from Flywheel Arts Incubators creatives, and writing love poems to your favorite artworks on a gallery tour.
  • Dessert at Tiffany’s: Hello XOXO; Thurs, Feb 14, 6pm-9pm: Join for desserts, wonderful conversation, and a special screening of Breakfast at Tiffany’s. What more can a girl ask for?
  • The Scandal Series No. 1: The Citizen Hotel; Thurs, Feb 14, 6pm: Join for The Scandal Series No. 1 on St. Valentine’s Day for all things love. This is a film noir-esque affair welcoming those in love and the heart broken. Love-inspired libations by Grange, music by The Speakeasy Syndicate, and scandalous entertainment for all.

Date night extraordinaire

  • Valentine’s Prix-Fixe Dinner with Wine: Revolution Wines; Thurs, Feb 14, 5:30pm & 8pm: Revolution will be offering a prix-fixe menu with wine pairings for you and your sweetheart on Valentine’s Day. This dinner will include four courses prepared by Executive Chef Rachel Kelly, with wine pairings carefully selected by Winemaker Craig Haarmeyer.
  • Valentine’s Dinner: Sacramento RiverTrain; Thurs, Feb 14, 6:30pm: Sacramento RiverTrain offers a dinner trip with a great combination of scenery, food, and service. During your trip staff serve a delicious three-course dinner while you watch the countryside roll by through large windows at every table.
  • Romantic Valentine’s Dinner Cruise: Empress Hornblower; Thurs, Feb 14, 7pm-10pm: Set against twinkling city lights and the legendary Sacramento River, the Romance Valentine’s Dinner Cruise includes a three-hour cruise, four-course meal, free flowing standard cocktail bar, and entertainment for dancing.

Bring the family

  • Wee Wednesday: Love Fest: Crocker Art Museum; Wed, Feb 13, 11am-Noon: Enjoy the sweet and folksy tunes of singer-songwriter Charlie Hope, 2012 winner of a JUNO Award and an Independent Music Award. Children will make special Valentine’s gifts and leave valentine hearts for their favorite artworks in the galleries.
  • Valentine’s Gifts for Teens: Franklin Community Library; Wed, Feb 13, 4pm-5pm: Make a Valentine’s Day duct tape rose using candy kisses for that special person in your life. You will also have time to make a super, duper Valentine’s Day card to go along with your gift.
  • Black & White Purrball: Valentine’s Day Adoption Event: Happy Tails Pet Sanctuary; Thurs, Feb 14, Noon-6pm: The adoption fee for all black and black & white cats will be waived with a donation of cat food. Please stop by the Happy Tails Adoption Center to meet the many black and black & white furr babies awaiting their forever homes.
