The 14th Annual Martin Luther King Jr. celebration dinner

The Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration symbolizes the principles of freedom, unity and inclusion which Dr. King stood for. The mission has been to keep Dr. King’s message alive and in the hearts of the Sacramento Region, creating a bridge from the dinner to community problem solving.
This year’s focus was on education and closing the achievement gap, with Coach Ken Carter, from the movie, ‘Coach Carter’, as the keynote speaker.
