Drag Queen Bingo to help The Front Street Animal Shelter

Put your game face on and play your way into the new year with a game of Drag Queen Bingo at Hamburger Patties in support of The Front Street Animal Shelter. It’s bingo like you’ve never seen it before.

Save the lives of Sacramento’s homeless pets and keep them warm during this very cold winter. The Front Street Animal Shelter depends on the support and donations of locals to help with the medical bills of abused animals that find their way to the shelter.

Gina E. Knepp, Animal Care Services Manager, says that without the donation fund, countless animals would otherwise be euthanized. The cats, dogs, chickens, rabbits and occasional pigs at the Front Street Shelter thank you.

For $15 a ticket at the door, you will get to play eight games of bingo while professional drag queens work the event and call the numbers.

The event will take place on January 3 at 7 p.m. at Hamburger Patties, located at 1630 J St. It is recommended that you arrive by 6 p.m. at the latest to enjoy the food and to grab a seat.

Knepp said this event is made possible with the support of Fred Palmer, Editor of Outward Magazine, “some lovely Queens” and Hamburger Patties.

If you have any questions, you can contact Knepp at gknepp@cityofsacramento.org, or call her at 916-808-8333 or 916-230-4533.

If you are unable to attend, but would still like to donate, The Front Street Shelter is accepting donations. It requests checks made payable to:
Sacramento Animal Care Services
2127 Front Street
Sacramento, CA 95818

Or you can donate on-line. 100 % of your donation will go to the animals.

The City of Sacramento Front Street Animal Shelter is located at 2127 Front Street. Shelter hours are: 12:00 – 5:30 pm Wednesday – Friday, and 12:00 – 5:00 pm Saturday – Sunday.
