Spoiling your four-legged friend will be much easier with the latest Midtown business opening.

A specialty pet store has popped back up in Midtown, reports the Sacramento Bee, after shutting down six years ago due to the recession.

Paws and the Palette, formerly Bogy’s Barkery and the Palette, is at its original location at 1014 24th Street, selling vegan and non-vegan dog treats and more. Owner Lisa Spurney said former Sacramento mayor Jimmie Yee, who owns the space, gave her a heads-up that it would be open again, she told the Bee.

In addition to doggie treats, the store sells dog jackets and sweaters, treat jars and bowls, "blinged-out collars," toys, and even makes custom-order dog cakes. It’s for the true dog lover and will soon include a cat section.

The business reopened Dec. 8, according to its Facebook page. It’s open 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday.
