Man shot in face over car accident 

A man received non-life threatening injuries Thursday night after being shot in the face. The shooting occurred after a minor traffic accident on the 1600 block of Broadway just before 11 p.m. A dispute ensued between the two parties, and during the altercation one of the male suspects shot the victim with a handgun and fled in a vehicle. The victim was treated at a local hospital. A description of the suspect(s) and vehicle were unavailable immediately.  

Woman flees scene of hit-and-run, returns and is arrested

A woman eventually returned to the scene of a hit-and-run accident that left a wheelchair-bound person with non-life threatening injuries. Regina Medina, 35, was arrested on suspicion of felony hit-and-run and driving on an expired license. The incident occurred Thursday at 3:55 p.m. at 30th and U Streets.  

Kids clean up vandalism in South Sac’s Maybelline Way

Police officers on Thursday supervised a graffiti cleanup, in which the underage suspects painted over the damage they created the day before. On Wednesday, officers responded to a disturbance on the 7900 block of Maybelline Way related to the vandalized private property, and officers mediated a resolution between the property owner and the suspect kids’ parents.  

Woman assaults security officer, takes off with male accomplice

A woman reportedly hit a security officer at an Arden Way business Thursday night and took off with a male accomplice who stole merchandise. The two were confronted about stolen items by the security officer, and the woman assaulted the officer. Both suspects fled in a vehicle before officers arrived to the business on the 1900 block of Arden Way.  

Possible drug manufacturing in Arden Boulevard home

While doing a probation search of a home on the 100 block of Arcade Boulevard Thursday morning, police found stolen property, along with items and chemicals used to manufacture drugs. The items and chemicals were collected and booked as evidence.
