Police bust drug manufacturing setup found downtown

Possible drug manufacturing setup near Alkali Flat 

Police found what appeared to be drug making supplies on the 1300 block of G Street Wednesday afternoon. Officers, responding to the area regarding possible narcotics manufacturing, searched the area and found items and chemicals consistent with drug manufacturing. The items were collected and booked as evidence and/or further analysis; the investigation is ongoing.  

Boy, 16, charged with having gun on New Market Drive

A 16-year-old boy was arrested Wednesday morning on weapons charges after allegedly running from police. A witness saw someone who appeared to have a gun in the area of 2500 New Market Drive, and officers quickly found the boy, who immediately took off running. They searched the area and found a gun in the direction he fled; the boy was arrested on suspicion of having a weapon, and booked into juvenile hall.

Driver of stolen car arrested on drug charges

Officers pulled over a stolen car on South Avenue and Dry Creek Road early Wednesday morning and arrested the driver on multiple charges, including drug possession. At 12:54 a.m., driver Bounbanh Ounkham, 39, was arrested on suspicion of possession of narcotics, violation of probation warrant and vehicle theft. 

Subway on Florin Road robbed at gunpoint

A man robbed a Subway restaurant at gunpoint on the 2400 block of Florin Road Wednesday night and fled on foot. The suspect pointed a gun at an employee and demanded money before fleeing on foot, and was witnessed falling to the ground as he was running away. The fall apparently caused the gun to be accidentally discharged. Police canvassed the area, to no avail. The investigation is ongoing.

Vehicle burglary call leads to pair of arrests

An investigation into a vehicle burglary around the 5900 block of Lake Crest Way led to a probation search of a home, which ultimately led to two people being arrested Wednesday afternoon. Adam Cabrales, 24, was arrested on suspicion of possession of ammunition by a prohibited person, probation violation, and being in possession of burglary tools. Nichole Marquardsen, 24, was arrested on suspicion of methamphetamine possession and probation violation.
