12 things to do in Sacramento on 12/12/12

People get gung-ho about repetitive dates, and so do we here at Details! In that spirit, we decided to get in the groove of 12/12/12 and round-up 12 fun things for you to do in Sacramento today.

1. See choirs from the Lodi Seventh Day Adventist Elementary School (11am) or the US Army Corps of Engineers (Noon) perform holiday tunes for free at the Capitol’s annual Holiday Music Program.

2. Do a little shopping at Sacramento Downtown Plaza and then bring your receipt to the Downtown Sacramento Ice Rink for a free skate rental.

3. Learn about the local and regional impact of the arts at Pence Gallery’s Art Grown Locally panel discussion.

4. Shop for wine while drinking wine at Enotria’s Great Holiday Blowout.

6. See B Street Theatre’s holiday play, A Pail of Grace, which has two show times on Wednesdays to choose from: 2pm & 6pm.

8. Hear multi-faceted musician Charlie Hunter live in concert at Harlow’s.

9. Traipse from District 30 to Pizza Rock to Dive Bar at MetroWize’s Party on K Street.

10. Celebrate Sacramento’s finest at Sacramento Magazine’s Best of Sacramento 2012 Party.

11. Laugh along at Bows & Arrows’ free Stand Up Open Mic Night, and even try your own hand at humor if you’re feeling brave.

12. Close out the 12 Days of Midtown at the Nutcracker Meet & Greet with dancers from the Sacramento Ballet.
