Two day CIM Fitness Expo is free, open to the public, with information for both runners and non-runners

From injury treatment and prevention to finding time in your busy schedule for fitness, there is something for almost everyone at the Kaiser Permanente Health and Fitness Expo and Runners Workshops this Friday and Saturday at the Sacramento Convention Center. This is also where runners in the California International Marathon will pick up their bib number and information packet for the race.

The expo will feature seminars, workshops and discussions for all athletes, not just runners. You’ll also hear from Olympians, endurance athletes, fitness trainers and several Kaiser Permanente physicians and staff who can offer information and inspiration.

Members of the Kaiser Permanente sports medicine team will talk about injury treatment, prevention and concussion care, as well as how to avoid being an injured runner in the medical tent during the CIM.

Another panel of experts will talk about using Crossfit, Yoga, Boot Camp, and Zumba to make you a faster, stronger runner and athlete.

There’s even a discussion for moms: how to find time for your own fitness while you are caring for your family. Hear from athletes who are striking the balance.

Kaiser Permanente is proud to sponsor a great local community event, such as the CIM Health and Fitness expo, providing two days of great information and expert medicine.

Admission to the Expo is free and open to the public. It runs from noon to 5pm on Friday and most of the day Saturday.
