Call for Artists and Arts Organizations to Join Kennedy Center’s K-8 Any Given Child!

The Kennedy Center’s Any Given Child Arts Initiative is looking for arts organizations and artists who can help provide assemblies, workshops and field trips to K-8th grade students in over 100 schools in the area. The deadline to apply is August 6th.
The 2012-2013 school year will be the third year that this initiative will be in Sacramento schools through a regional partnership with the John F. Kennedy Center for Performing Arts. An important goal of the program is to develop a systematic, equitable process for making community arts resources available to the region’s schools.
Arts organizations, arts groups, collectives, and individual artists working in all disciplines are welcome to apply. Successful candidates will:
• Have their educational programming listed in a roster of services marketed to all schools participating in Any Given Child;
• Receive support from Any Given Child in scheduling the assemblies, workshops, or field trips selected by schools in the Any Given Child program;
• Receive payment for services through Any Given Child; and
• Gain access to special Professional Development services, including site visits and workshops.
To find out more, download the guidelines, application, provider reference and provider expectations. If you have further questions, please contact Rae-Nani Stokes at raenani.stokes@gmail.com.
