Walking Spanish, Autumn Sky to headline Concerts in the Park on Friday

Walking Spanish

Walking Spanish will headline this week’s Friday Night Concerts in the Park at Cesar Chavez Plaza, with Jack and White, Autumn Sky and CrookOne also providing music.

Walking Spanish regularly plays in Sacramento, and a previous Sacramento Press reviewer said the group performs a "high-energy rock show, peppering their staggeringly good original material with a variety of tasty covers that included Mother Hips, Allman Brothers and Depeche Mode."

Here’s their song Sweet Cherry Lane:

Sacramento’s Autumn Sky comes from a unique background, and she will sing some of her indie-pop tunes on Friday.

Her post popular song on SoundCloud.com is "I Light Afire."

Jack and White are described as having a sound like "old school 1970s duo of Buckingham/Nicks and the more modern pairing of She and Him," according to BlogCritics.org, and the local musicians will play some of their newest songs on Friday.

DJ CrookOne will round out the evening, and the after party is at 3 Fires Lounge.

The free concert series is located at Cesar Chavez Plaza, Ninth and I streets, and runs from 5 – 7 p.m.
