Point West Rotary Celebrates 10 Years of Festa di Vino – A Celebration of Food & Wine – Benefiting Sierra Forever Families and Local Children’s Charities.

Point West Rotary and Sierra Forever Families invite you to attend the 10th Festa di Vino – A Celebration of Food & Wine

Sacramento, California – March 15, 2012 – Point West Rotary, one of the largest Rotary clubs in Sacramento, will host its 10th Festa di Vino – A Celebration of Food and Wine – on March 31 at the Scottish Rite Masonic Center in Sacramento.

When does the opportunity arrive to allow you to dine at 20 restaurants in one night or go on a wine-tasting tour to visit more than 25 of the top local wineries in one day? “Never,” you say. “That’s just not possible.” Well, the time is now. Point West Rotary of Sacramento is providing a special opportunity for you to do just that. On Saturday, March 31 at the Scottish Rite Masonic Center, you can enjoy great food and wine at this 10th Annual Festa di Vino – A Celebration of Food & Wine.

Festa di Vino showcases more than 20 local restaurants and 25 wine makers from Northern California. Guests can work up an appetite (or to eliminate calories) while dancing the night away to the music of the Q-Balls, a local favorite. For those guests who feel lucky, an extensive raffle will take place and by entering, they could go home with great prizes. Also as part of the night, a wide-range of desirable items can be bid upon in the silent and live auctions. This incredible evening will not only delight attendees but, through a portion of the proceeds, will also support Sierra Forever Families, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to transform the lives of children living in foster care by building and nurturing permanent families.

“Sierra Forever Families is pleased to be selected as a charity partner for Festa di Vino hosted by Point West Rotary,” said Bob Herne, executive director, Sierra Forever Families. “The partnership will not only provide needed funding for our programs but will also allow for our organization to promote its mission to a large portion of our local community.”

Festa di Vino will take place 6:30-10 p.m. on Saturday, March 31 at the Scottish Rite Masonic Center, 6151 H Street in Sacramento, and will feature tastings from over 25 of the region’s wineries including Michael-David Phillips Vineyards, Pedroncelli, Karmere, and Bogle Vineyards. Samplings from area restaurants will include Café Vinoteca, Enotria, Cafeteria 15L and American River Culinary. Along with a great raffle, and silent and live auctions, there will be a cigar bar and free chair massages.

Event tickets are $45 each in advance and $55 at the door. To purchase, visit www.festadivino.com.
