Arden Hills Names Ashurina Younan as Chef de Cuisine

Meet Chef Rina!

Arden Hills Resort Club & Spa has promoted Ashurina (Rina) Younan from Sous Chef to Chef de Cuisine, effective immediately.  In her expanded new role as Chef de Cuisine, Chef Rina will oversee the entire food services division at the Resort that includes event/banquet catering and two on-site restaurants — Mangos and Sprouts Natural Foods Cafe.

Chef Rina joined Arden Hills in March 2011 with an extensive background working in food service positions in resort environments throughout the greater Sacramento area. Previously, she worked as Sous Chef for Thunder Valley Casino Resort in Lincoln; as Lead Chef for Scott’s Seafood on the River (that also serves Le Rivage guests); and as Lead Cook for Cache Creek Casino Resort in Brookes, California. Prior to working in the food services industry, she earned her Culinary Arts Certificate from San Diego Culinary Institute.

Traci Rockefeller Cusack has 25+ years of media and public relations experience.  Her work experience includes News10 (ABC) as Promotion Manager from 1989-1998 (where she developed and launched “Coats for Kids’ Sake,” a winter coat drive that lasted 20+ years plus coordinated Oprah Winfrey’s first ever visit to Sacramento) and Fleishman-Hillard as Vice President from 1998-2005 (where she led the wildly successful statewide “California Grown” program and also produced the five-minute video that played on the Jumbotron on Opening Day at Pac Bell Park). In 2007, she launched T-Rock Communications and currently handles a wide range of marketing activities for a number of top-notch organizations.
