SACRAMENTO, CA – “Come join an incredible group of volunteers, who are dedicated to making a difference in our community, and share your time and talent with our membership of 250 volunteers,” said Charlotte Stott, President of Assistance League® of Sacramento.  A new member open enrollment and informational meeting will be held on Sunday, April 15, 2012, at the Carmichael Park Clubhouse, 5750 Grand Avenue, Carmichael 95608.

Come meet Candy Duncan, Vice President-Membership, and other members of Assistance League of Sacramento, to learn about our all-volunteer nonprofit organization, which is one of 120 chapters of Assistance League nationally.

If you like history, thrift shops, school-based activities have acting skills, want to help children and adults, and enjoy giving back to our community, then join Assistance League of Sacramento. Our slogan is, “Caring & Commitment in Action.” For membership, applications access www.Sacramento.AssistanceLeague.org, or check out the Assistance League of Sacramento Facebook page or call

(916) 769-2556.

The benefit to prospective members attending this annual informational meeting prior to joining is that they learn about the commitments members make to the organization, and become familiar with the philanthropic program and fundraising activities of the chapter.

Assistance League of Sacramento sponsors nine philanthropic programs providing services to the citizens of the Greater Sacramento area including El Dorado and Yolo Counties. The nine programs are Bears, Clothes for Careers, Governor’s Mansion History, Eyes Right, Kids on the Block™, Operation School Bell®, Scholarship Program, Senior Friendship, and Waste Not.
