Q: I received a citation in the mail for running a red light. My brother borrowed my truck and he was the driver pictured. What do I do?
Bill
A: Contact the agency that issued the citation. Do not send payment to the court because then the citation will be connected to your driving record. Once contacted the issuing agency will then contact the court with the corrected information. If you fail to contact the agency or do not appear on your assigned date, additional penalties will be added to your case and your driver’s license can be suspended.
