11 a.m. – 2 p.m. The California Department of Social Services Muticultural Committee will host a celebration of cultures for World Fair Day in the Department of Social Services quad. Around 100 people are expected to attend.
12:30-2 p.m. The Organization to Achieve Solutions In Substance-Abuse will host a rally against cuts to Medi-Cal on the South Steps of the Capitol. About 100 people are expected to attend.
10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Legorova Liudmyla will be protesting against the torture of children on the North Steps of the Capitol. Two people are expected to attend.
Friday, Oct. 15
7-9 a.m. The Hmong American Committee of Sacramento will march from the West Steps of the Capitol to the Federal Court Building to call for the release of the 12 men accused of plotting to take over Laos. Around 2,000 people are expected to attend.
