Great article about a great man. I am so proud to have called him a friend. He absolutely changed people's lives... Midtown won't be the same without him. Thank you Sac Press for highlighting some of Andy's many accomplishments.

I completely agree with you Jim about the crowd! Not the "diverse" group the website promised. As a former employee of a Chamber I know these types of organizations can do great things in a community, in addition to providing great networking opportunities (which should be one of the main goals of Chambers of Commerce). If the committees buckle down and focus on the true mission of the organization, the tone and its membership population could change. I attended last night and while I was not one of the types you described (I actually felt a little out of place, which I rarely do), I’m sticking around to see what could come of this new group.
