North Sacramento historical book to be premiered on Thursday

A fascinating new book about North Sacramento will have it’s exclusive premier at a special event scheduled for Thursday evening, September 16th at 1616 Del Paso Blvd. from 5:30 until 7:30PM. This free event will feature a talk and visual presentation by the author, Veronica Ehrenreich-Risner, a librarian and professor at CSUS who has worked for the past 3 years to assemble this stirring volume of vintage imagery, and will allow time for questions and answers, as well as a book signing. This will be the first opportunity to purchase this latest title in the “Images of America” series from the county’s leading publisher of local and regional history books. Conversation about: VIDEO: Arco Arena letters being removed at Sacramento Kings venue

The whole idea of corporate names on facilities is a perversion. Many people refused to use the official name for the arena, and instead used the euphemism of ECHO ARENA. I for one will never let the new name trip off my tongue. I may use "the SPORTS ARENA", or maybe the COW BELL is a good euphemism for the future! Thanks for the suggestion above!

Conversation about: Greens Hotel for sale

Perhaps you should get your neighborhoods straight before you start trashing them. The Greens is located squarely within North Sacramento, and several miles from Del Paso Heights. They are very different neighborhoods
