Solomon Wine Company- Press Release Mardi Gras February 20-21 2010 11-5pm Join the Solomon Wine Company the home of Muse, Garsa, and Cloud 9 wines for our Mardi Gras party in the Clarksburg tasting room. We are paring our Muse Carnivale Sangria, Garsa Syrah and Tempranillo with traditional foods of the New Orleans Mardi Gras festival. There will be Kings Cake, Louisiana Style Pork BBQ, Cole Slaw and Jambalaya. All go famously with our chilled sangria served with orange slices. This event has no charge, includes great food, wine and music. Mardi Gras means fat Tuesday, Fat Tuesday is a last chance party excuse before a six-week period of abstinence, and residents of New Orleans, Louisiana, are famous for their Mardi Gras celebrations and parades. No Mardi Gras celebration is complete without a King Cake, also known as Twelfth Night Cake. This cake is actually a sweetened yeast bread, usually baked in a ring shape. The cake is frosted with gold, green, and purple icing representing in order, power, faith, and justice.
