Why did you even try? What a poor representation of Sacramento in the fall.
This building has made allot of people sick from the continued mold problems; several floors are unusable because of the sickness.
They also failed to say how much it cost, which was $4 million as well as the $15 million guestroom renovation completed in 2009.
Will she EVER go away?
This city needs another "bathhouse” to stimulate job growth... I mean what will the politicians will do without more places for adult activities?
Zen, did you even read the article? It says "He was also instrumental in the planning and development of the East End and R Street Projects." Read, Zen, read!
East End complex, that was a black eye on midtown. Thanks CADA!
So what is it that they are building other than moving dirt?
Eventually, the government runs out of other people’s money. It looks like day has finally arrived here in California.
As the economy continues to slow and go into a double dip, watch crime get worse and our cities going to have few police to respond. Public safety should be our city leaders first responsibly, instead the city council gives millions of dollars in subsidies to developers so cars car drive on K Street again. Where are their priorities?
Seriously? The Maloof's have been tiring to build a new arena for 10 years now. If you knew anything about what is about to happen in the NBA, this NBA season will end in a lock-out with the league wanting to slash salary costs by one-third ($700-800 million) in the next agreement which will be June 30th. If this can't be done the NBA is considering the elimination of teams to also solve the league's financial woes. If the Maloofs are told they are in that category because the Sacramento market is the weakest or one of the weakest in the league, then expect them to preserve their investment by moving to Anaheim. All this well known info. My bet is that there won't be a season at all next year because players won't want to cut their salaries.
The Maloof's have NEVER missed a payment to anyone and have given $17 million to local charities in the last ten years. We sure have a sad bunch running the city.
If you thought cleaning up K Street has taken a long time (30 years and counting) imagine how long it will take another arena to be built here? The clock started 10 years ago and look how far we have come LOL!!!!!
Geoff, to lure a team here you have to offer them something... what would Sacramento offer? There is no money or a modern arena, the media market is not vary large and corporate advertising is hardly worth mentioning. No team would move here if the Kings leave because the numbers to make them profitable just aren’t here unless you can show me otherwise.
I think more layoffs are needed and they should also make them pay more into health care insurance and retirement.
Damn, damn, damn, damn, and damn!!!! This city won't realize what it had till their gone...... who would have thought while having a former basketball player as a Mayor we would loose our basketball team.
WOW, I must have hit close to home for you to get this upset. Call it whatever you want, but we both know what's behind the name. If a KKK Galeria opened up right next door to yours but identifed it's self as something else, who do you think they would be fooling? Again, La Raza bases it’s organizational existence on sequestering one “race” and that is the true meaning behind your Galeria store front.
Yeaaaaa, "La Raza" -- Spanish for "The Race". La Raza bases it’s organizational existence on sequestering one “race” (or ethnicity but La Raza means “The Race” however inexact that actually is) against others, in seeking privilege that is based upon ethnicity/race to exclude or supercede all others. La Raza — an ethnic supremacy organization... going to this Galeria means you support thhis racialistic organizaing and racialist method.
Bauman needs to get an education; his quotes are dimwitted at best.

It's not that old, it was built in 1992 on the cheap. The Wells Fargo Center across the street was built at about the same time for around $100 million while this building was constructed for around $45 million. You get what you pay for.
