One of my grandnephews is bipolar. When he got a puppy, it made a BIG difference in him. The difference wasn't enough to keep him out of a special school away from home, but that school gave him the opportunity to work with shelter animals which helped him more. He just graduated with honors & is on to college. Animals are such wonderful therapy. I'm happy for the City Shelter & hope this will keep it from going under the management of the SSPCA.
