for the love of all, why wont the don v tesla thing just die? They both were wrong, and both need to get over it. Nothing worse than old men fighting like children over he said she said. Nonsense.
The volume of leaves during the fall and early winter in Midtown is staggering. I haven't heard from the city how residents should deal with that situation. The pile in front of my house typically takes up 2-3 car-lengths and stands 3-4 feet tall. There's simply no way to put that into a container. Then pile on top of that the endless stream of branches and limbs, plenty of which are too big for a container. Overall this feels like a half baked idea from people who don't live in Midtown. How about cancelling the Street Sweeper program? There's a service that does absolutely nothing and gets paid for it.
I live in Midtown and work in Roseville- Living in Midtown we are blessed with such amazing food. the same cannot be said for Roseville. Jalisco stands out in Roseville as one of the best, but thats simply because of the lacking competition. I can have a cheaper, tastier, and heartier lunch at Tres Hermanas, which also has a sister site in Roseville called Sabores. But hey, to each their own. I hope the new location does well for them.
Unfortunately I wont see any of these stations because I'm a satellite subscriber. I see that as a barrier to entry for many.
i know of developers who opt (some flat-out refuse) to not build in Sacramento because of this type of nonsense. So instead they head to the bay area where it is much more lucrative and surprisingly easier to get things built. Serious changes need to be made here, else we will choke out our beautiful city.
I live a few blocks from this guy and his two lots. Both of his homes are in disrepair and he's had quite a number of run-in's with the city. His neighbors have grown tired of his antics and lack of respect for the people who live around him. I wouldn't be surprised if it was his neighbors who are pushing the city to do something. Goes to show, be nice and respectful to those who live around you. You never know when they will bite back.
I really appreciate this article. I'm a midtown homeowner and I wouldn't trade where I live for anything. Sometimes bad things happen. Its just the way of the world unfortunately. Whats disturbing though is the knee-jerk reactions when anything bad happens. Its all over the place, and it sucks. Its ruining the world we live in.
"intentionally created an overwhelming climate of singles bar and drunken street partying in Midtown neighborhoods." I completely disagree. I do see 'regular' bars and restaurants, quite a few I frequent often. Its one of the reasons I bought a home in Midtown. There may be a bad egg in the bunch, but dont lump all businesses together. The culinary experience and nightlife in Midtown are simply amazing, I would hate to lose any of it because of an isolated event. Violence happens. Its an awful, terrible, shitty fact. Lets agree to treat our fellow brother and sister better. Teach our kids that violence is never the answer, and most of all set a good example and follow through.
naga- you so silly kiddo. <3 rhonda- i very much support your stance on youth violence. my advice is to take more time to flush out your thoughts before posting them. be a voice of change and not complaints. much love to all- even naga- he needs it the most.
What about the parents who raise these violent children? Why aren't they held accountable for the actions of their offspring? Instead of blaming the Mayor, blame the parents who allowed their kids to take the violent road in life. One man, 50K, and a few policies cannot magically fix the problem of todays youth. Its a problem with culture, and change starts at home with the family.
next year, i hope to attend. looks fantastic
Looks like Cline had been partaking in consuming some delicious wine before posting this. I just cant approve of anyone referring to themselves in the 3rd person. #picturefail #communitytagsfail Regardless, this event looks fun. Wish I knew about it before the day of.
Im glad theyre taking the time to do it right. I'm looking forward to it opening someday. I can be patient.
Excellent! Great location. Im quite looking forward to this opening. Wait, when does it open?
11-2, really? 3 hours. hrmph.
im confused about what this article is trying to convey.....
I give Willys a big "meh" for burgers. Im curious if you dig it.
I go to Nationwide for the Steak Sandwich, not to be missed. However its a pricey meal.
Its gotta be either Squeeze Inn or Awful Wallys.
Conversation about: River Rock Tap House to open
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE fix the bar-stool to bar height problem, the bar is too high. Its really quite off-putting and degrades the experience entirely.
