please clarify the rule: "Stories may not be re-posts from blogs or other publications, print or online"

does this also mean one can not publish the article in another site AFTER publishing in Sac Press? If publishing elsewhere after Sac Press is acceptable, what is the tiime frame or wait between duplicate publications?

For me, a bad review from any source will make me pause before I try a new establishment. I do look at the style of writing and try to determine if the writer perhaps has a grudge that may be overboad hostile in a review. A good review when searching for a new place to try is a number one factor for getting me to try a new restaurant even if its existed for many years. Coupons help too but only on top of a good review. Its risky trying a new place without feedback.

surely I would never even consider posting an article here with the original agreement - that is too much work for such little reward and then to lose my own copyright - no way. If you hire me to go out and do a story, its all yours ... but otherwise never. Good thing you have revised the agreement. I am surprised anyone at all would contribute under the original terms unless they are desperate to get published somewhere and are not aware of other options for on-line publication. It still amazes me how many onlne publications rely on hardworking writers to work for nothing or pennies. Its really a shame how its all set up to take advantage of writers.

clearly NOT an article but merely an announcement. This should not be tagged for the journalism competition. Inappropriate placment gets negative attention rather than positive coverage.
