It's great you're writing about your experiences getting to know Sacramento. I hope you also get a chance to check out the bars and businesses that are Sacramento originals (in contrast to chain-hotel bars). Cheers!
Informative article - thanks!
The map would be helpful if there was a way to expand it. It's too small! Thanks.
"This is why some people should not be allwed to vote..if your not aware of the blatant corruption that runs this City, then please abstain from voting in local elections." I'm sorry, but I chose to vote informed with facts rather than vague accusations. (About the city council, or even the major). The role of the press (and forums like this) is to provide information that is of public concern. I do not know anyone personally in city politics, so how would I know about this "rampant corruption" you insist upon? I think it's great you're so passionate about the process - but I chose to make decisions based on empirical evidence. I, and I think our fellow Sacramento citizens, would be most grateful if you could fill us in with specific events.
I'm really curious about the "the rampant and blatant corruption that exists under the current form of government" - if this is the case, I must be really clueless. Can someone please give me an outline of the corruption that's going on? Who? When? Where? If we need to "shake things up" let's be clear why exactly we are doing it!
I thought the original article needed *a lot* more detail as well - Kudos to Sgt Leong for the follow up!
Wow! great article! Looking forward to hearing more about these types of community events.
Conversation about: Cafe Community Conversation
This is the first I have heard of these conversations and I would have loved to have attended. Is there a way that Sac Press can bring attention to these types of community events beforehand? It's wonderful that they get covered, but it always seems to be after the fact. Many thanks.
