I wish Sacramento would build the worlds largest water park. (much safer than rivers and lakes) I watched the Discovery channel, and I don't understand why the Midwest has more and larger water parks...maybe they turn them into toboggan runs in the winter...

So instead of rebuilding K street...let's sink a hundred million or so into a huge water park...it would bring in lots of tourism and provide jobs...

Unfortunately..the best place I have picked out for my new fantasy park is in West Sacramento next to Raley field...

We have to hurry too, they are going to close Raging Waters.

On FWY 105 westbound around 9AM today, I saw a brand new State SUV Tahoe Hybrid probably costs about $50,000 or more with a single driver. How could one justify any state employee or legislator spending $50,000 of taxpayers' money on an SUV when the taxpayers are trying to make ends meet?

In tough economic time, raising sale taxes will have the exact adverse & opposite effects of increasing revenue. April's sale figure taught us a lesson, the 1% sale tax increase actually create more than 30% DECREASE in tax revenue, people are getting hurt!

Furlough or layout should be selective & it's not prudent to extend furlough to "Special Fund" agencies which has nothing to do with General Fund's budget. By slowing down the "special Fund agencies, it will instead slow down permit process requests from the private sectors, thereby slowing the FEE's revenue & slowing down the construction that we desperately need to stimulate the economy. So it's a lose-lose situation to impose furlough on "Special Fund's agencies"

For the good of California, please re-consider your approaches before going deeper into a sink hole.

Every day is Earth Day...we all live on this rock. It amazes me as a conservative, that most in the conservative movement are resistant to protecting our planet.

I do however agree that it makes little sense to force American companies to go Green when countries like China, India and Russia will not abide by environmental treaties. This is the reason Bush refused to sign the Kyoto Protocol...why should we intentionally place American companies at a disadvantage? Its bad enough that Americans are forced to compete in a global labor market with people that make $2 dollars a day. Until these countries can be brought in line, there is little that Americans can do to stop global warming (If global warming is a true threat...I however would err on the side that it is a real threat unless proven otherwise.) But all the lefty's want to do is scream about America... why don't the neo-liberals go picket the consulates of these other countries? Why don't we see a concerted effort by the Left to boycott their products unless they conform to environmental standards? Typical hypocrisy and same old anti Americanism.
