Clarification: Documentary Foundation will be heading to the festival on June 19th and donations should be contributed prior to that date. Sari Carter at Silverdocs said the actual festival runs from June 20-26 and "Age of Champions" premieres on Saturday, June 25, at 5:15pm.
Clarification from DeDe Cordell, Chief of Public Affairs for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers: "The 200 year flood protection for the area won't be realized when the dam work is complete, unless the downstream levee work is complete as well. It's a system - and if the dam is complete, while it will be able to pass that much water, the downstream levees couldn't handle it yet - so we're also working to improve the levees downstream, but it's not likely they'll be done when the dam is complete, so it won't quite be '200 year' - but it is a HUGE step toward getting us there."
@dobrien917 Thanks so much and it was really nice meeting you too! I know you don't think of yourself as a foodie, but you are! So keep me posted on the latest and get that blog up!
@BrianKarns, you do need to register for the events. You can do so through their Facebook page. On it, there is a link to where you can pay for confirmation of your attendance. You can also go to either restaurant to do so.
Awesome photos Pembe!
Great article Ciera!
I didn't get an exact price range, but according to a previous article on our site, customers can expect high teens to mid-20s. http://www.sacramentopress.com/headline/45560/Tuli_Bistro_owners_to_open_new_downtown_spot

Great recap Michaela! The workshop was wonderful and did a good job of showing me the basics. I loved his attitude, "There's no such thing as writer's block."
Mr. Mandel wanted to make clear that statewide services for the hotline will only include: pension, housing, CalFresh and domestic violence. Furthermore, the recent grant from the U.S. Department of Justice allows the SLH to help domestic violence victims with a broad range of legal issues, not only the domestic violence itself. In regards to funding hopes, the SLH estimates $500,000 in core funding, as opposed to a multitude of specific projects alone, in order to fully service California seniors; the point is the specific projects are easier to manage with the core funding as backup for any of them. Lastly, the SLH is looking for trained attorneys or paralegals willing to make a significant ongoing commitment as volunteers.
Janna, you're totally right. Marriage or no marriage, all relationships should remember this. I also think it's important to communicate these feelings with your partner. They may not even think anything is wrong. Of course you want to always make that effort, but you would want them to also. It takes two people to make any relationship work.
Tom Runge and LisaB23: I totally agree about allowing more entertainment and spreading it out. This month's Second Saturday was actually my first since I've just moved back to Sacramento. While I was away, I heard such great things about it. So I tagged along that weekend and when my friends and I had finished going through the art galleries around 9:00 p.m., we did end up wandering and eventually just going home right after. It's very much possible, we just didn't know where to go also. Is there a map or site with information of suggested routes and what not through the event?
