Sergio was last seen wearing black jeans, a light gray Polo shirt, and black-and-gray classic style Vans. He also had on a charcoal gray Vans zip-up hooded sweatshirt with small back stripes. He had with him a large, black Jansport backpack. Sergio always wears two necklaces – a choker made of black twine with a cross and and a brown scapular with two religious pictures. He wears black, Ray Ban glasses. http://natomasbuzz.com
It's exciting to see a business making a go of it at that location!
Congrats, Colleen!
The major flaw with the Economic Engine Report is that it does not address how much of the projected revenue is ALREADY coming into the region with Power Balance Pavilion as it now exists. Why is that? The lack of a financing plan continues to be troublesome and let us not forget the Natomas area, a community of 100,000 residents with Power Balance Pavilion located at its core. The Natomas Chamber of Commerce is not among those currently endorsing the Think BIG Sacramento campaign. Chamber president Ed Koop told The Natomas Buzz, "Until a formal task force is in place to focus on a long-term economic solution for Natomas, the chamber will not provide a supporting letter. I'm hopeful that will be coming in the near future."
Our blog has stopped allowing "anonymous" comments for the simple reason that 90 percent of those we got were hate-speak and since we moderate our comments these were never posted. Sure, the number of comments on the blog have gone down as a result, but we are also not subjected to reading vile words that have no bearing on our content. We DO get a lot more comments on our Facebook site, where people are less likely to be "anonymous" and where readers do not necessarily agree, but are accountable for their opinions. Kudos, SP, for making a decision but being willing to consider counterpoint.
Sac County Elections have said the rest of the ballots should be tallied by next Friday.
What about moderating unsolicited "articles"? As it stands, anyone could post something on SP - possibly even using some else's identity.
If newspapers were about community coverage and not profit-making, they would be in fine shape. I find it ironic that the Bee published a half-page worth of letters from its readers decrying the pub's lack of local news coverage over the weekend and then published a two-page regional section today lacking in local 'news.' Reading the Bee leaves me feeling empty and uninformed which is why others and myself have started websites to fill the gap.
Just discovering your site. Keep it up!
