I've been to Mongolian BBQ places that aren't all you can eat so I didn't automatically assume that was the deal. If so, $10.95 is fine.
I always have cash on me but even I know that 'cash only' will be a huge deal to a lot of people. And yeah, $10.95 is a little high for Mongolain BBQ.
I get the feeling these pictures from the grand opening of K St to cars will get dragged out a lot. It's the only time there's been a noticeable amount of cars on the street! Talk about an anti-climactic move.
What? I don't rent a car when I get there. I walk, bus or BART.
Amtrak is around $50 round trip from Sac to SF. Then you're looking at around $8 in BART tickets. That's not cheaper than driving! I love the train & have taken it to the bay area tons of times - but I can't justify the cost any longer. Now I drive to Richmond & BART in to SF.
For one thing there was never anyone at that "Order Here" area so I always just ended up ordering at the counter. The whole ordering process seemed a little over-thought & confusing but I did like the food. The management vibe seemed a little stressed but I guess that's business these days.
Is there literally no place in Sacramento that fills this niche now? What a drag.
You can repeat that all day if you want. I ride where I feel safe. Usually in the street but not always.
Good for you - and I agree. I was skeptical early on as well & now I have a great deal of respect for the movement - warts & all. Now my skepticism fall squarely on those who seem to want to discredit it at every turn.
Spend a week riding a bicycle around downtown in the street & get back to me. And I'm not talking the mellow little neighborhood blocks.
Wait, you read up on it?? Why? It's so much easier to just marginalize & make fun of them!
I don't think there's a need to zoom in on the alcohol license here. An alcohol license provides its own set of potential problems for sure - but the bigger picture here is how difficult & frustrating it can be every step of the way for someone to open a business in Sacramento. Most of the people I know who have opened businesses in Sac have had an incredibly frustrating time of it. The biggest complaints being the slow pace, how vague it all is, and the deluge of surprise fees. I used to entertain the idea of having my own business but after watching friends go through the process, no thanks. I don't need the grey hairs.
Uh, no, I'm suggesting that condoms cost money & therefore aren't the "much simpler form of birth control that doesn't cost anything" mentioned above. Not sure how you got that I think condoms should be paid for with insurance. I didn't say anything of the sort. But hey, some people just see what they want to see.
Let's see, condoms cost money so you must be suggesting abstinence? Good luck with that.
Unfortunately this "behavior" is the only way to get anyone's attention.
Being able to stay on the trail for the whole ride to the Pocket would be the best. I know I'd do that ride a lot more often if that were the case.
Yes, they plan on giving a heavy discount for life to all taxpayers for their massive contribution.
The K St. location could never seem to capture the magic of the original J St .one.
It seems like most "midtown defenders" see the attempt at satire & think it failed.
Conversation about: Johnson campaigns gave over $35,000 to create “Strong Mayor” friendly conversation
The easy solution is that we vote on the strong mayor initiative & it doesn't go in to effect until the next mayor is elected. But as-is, Johnson has put too much effort in to getting strong mayor passed for me (and it seems a lot of people) to be completely comfortable with his motives.
