Education is the only way to succeed in the future. The bigger picture, the future of California, can only be achieved through education of EVERY person. The protesters (myself included) are angry over the broken promises not to cut by the legislators. I would like to see you fighting for the rights of your fellow students... or is it easier not to care? Students should take to the streets and rally.

Where did you go to school? We are the only state without an oil severance tax and companies are taking advantage of that loophole. The proposed new tax will not be passed down to consumers. The higher education system in California is broken and something needs to be done. Not everyone had college paid for. What would your plan be? Any better ideas?

I am sad to see Hard Rock leave. The food wasn't great and there are many amazing restaurants located around town, but Hard Rock leaves a big hole at the downtown plaza. How long is at going to take a business to move in? A grocery store or Target would be a needed addition to the plaza but I don't see that happening anytime soon. For now the empty shell will sit as a reminder of the bad economic times in Sacramento and more people will be unemployed. Sad day for Sacramento when any business (especially the cornerstone of the plaza) goes under.

I did call the Saints will win with 31 points.

Furloughs were reluctantly agreed upon by the facutly in an attempt to prevent layoffs. Furlough days are selected by faculty, but approved through department chairs and the president. The 3,000 figure is CSU wide, which equals an increase of roughly 175 sections, most for lower division. Upper division classes were cut 7%.

Arco Arena is just a venue for different entertainment options in the Sacramento region. Ostracizing a particular event that someone finds violent (their personal opinion) would discriminate against the thousands of fans who enjoy the sport. A new arena will revitalize the downtown area and give Sacramentans uncensored access to their favorite sports.
