Guttermouth at the boardwalk?? Damn, now that'd be an awesome show! Reverend Mark puts on one hell of a show. :D
No police, no arrest? I would've firebombed his car. That shit is NOT tolerated. And I'm glad that despite the police and neighbors being of no help, the landlord smacked down the hammer of justice. Good riddance.
Wow, sounds like a lot of work and planning went into it. Well done guys! :D
For those of you who aren't all about the "rawk" and "metal", I do highly recommend Rock Band 2. All RB1 and RB2 songs work on it, so there's over 500 songs available. Including some Steve Miller Band that just got released, Roy Orbison (LOVE him!), Jethro Tull, a handful of assorted country songs, and more. Look for a ton of varied material coming out in 2009--more country, more alt/indie, more classic rock, etc. Oh. Can't forget about Jimmy Buffet. "Margaritaville" for the win!
Man, I loooved Oleander back in the day. When I lived in Redding, we used to come down to Chico and catch them at The Brickworks a lot. Greatness indeed.
So, just out of curiosity, i'd love to know what's powering this site, it looks and acts pretty slick. :D
Myspace>>>>YouTube. Seriously. Demos. Recording a good demo is tantamount to getting good gigs and radio play. Without them, you get pretty much nothing unless you have connections. Almost immediately after we recorded at Pus Cavern (where Cake and many others record), we got thrown gigs, including the Boardwalk, without having to solicit them. It gives you credibility to have a pro-sounding demo. (http://www.myspace.com/lowflyerband and you'll see what I mean) And speaking of connections, make friends with other bands that are doing what you want to be doing. make friends with the promoters. make friends with the venues. make friends with the photographers (that one's more important than you think). These all help quite a bit, and are absolutely vital.
funny stuff.. Papa Roach is from Vacaville, by the way, and cut their teeth playing the Three Oaks Community Center in Vacaville with bands like Monster Squad, Domeshots, Fingertight, and more.
Wow, this is pretty outdated... Considering as Rock Band 2 just came out. Oh, and on GH2 you can most definitely play "Sweet Child O' Mine" on Easy. It's an easy-ish song, so it's unlockable on the first difficulty. Medium will be the easiest to unlock all songs.

This show was pretty sweet, honestly... A bummer that Misamore wasn't well received, and that Mike's amp suffered a brown-out... I have photos from that show over at my facebook page, http://www.facebook.com/digitalnoisephoto for those interested. :)
