Art does many things. It gives us a history of culture. It decorates our homes. It helps the homeless. This 2nd Saturday, Vox Sacramento art studio is giving back to the community, as well as providing a unique art show called “Home.” The studio is asking locals to bring camping equipment, blankets and coats to the exhibit. Items will be used by Safe Ground Sacramento, a homeless advocacy organization supported by a coalition of local non-profits trying to provide a safe, dry and warm solution for local residents without homes. The Spring Gospel Fest Concert is a collaboration of talented gospel music artists, poets, comedians, and dancers who will perform their talents on Saturday, April 24 at Cesar Chavez Park located at 10th and J Street, downtown Sacramento. Families, youth groups and entire congregations will be attending from the Bay Area, Stockton, and throughout the Greater Sacramento area. The public is invited to come and fellowship at the event – one of four scheduled over the next three months. The Concert is free and begins at 11:30 am and ends at 5 pm. People of the Way Ministries will also be hosting concerts on June 12 at William Land Park, July 3 at Oak Park and August 14 at Hagginwood Park. S
