AB 351 isn't just about JROTC, it's about cheer, marching band, drill team & dance team. The bottom line is that AB 351 will allow school districts to determine if the above mentioned "clubs" should qualify for PE credit. I can only speak for Cheer, but our cheerleaders exceed the state physical activity requirements and are more physically active in one week than most high school PE classes are in 2-3 weeks. Isn't the purpose of getting our kids involved in school activities to keep them out of trouble? Take a minute and read the bill and then tell your representative to vote in favor of AB 351.
