Well, it was subtle up until that point. I know that there had been discussions about releasing a print version before the Sac Press launched, so I wasn't surprised by the headline. I figured that with the Bee on the verge of collapsing, maybe the Sac Press was making a land grab for its readers. For a brief moment, synapses fired, worlds collided, and there existed, in my mind's eye, a pristine copy of the first edition of Sacramento Press "Print Edition". But then I read "wildly successful" and I realized it was an April Fool's joke. Probably better that way...

Maybe the Sacramento Press should spearhead a community project to help count the trees in Sacramento. You guys could setup a Google Map and have citizens from each block report the number of trees on their block.
