There is a hearing tonight at the Sacramento City Council to Stop or delay the Nestles water bottling plant. Also, to put new conditions on Coca Cola, Pepsi,and Campbell Soup. We are already facing a $50,000,000 shortfall in tax revenue next year. This shortfall will cut 387 full time jobs from the City next year. Significant delines in commercial realestate are already looming in our future. To quote Jimmie Yee, County Board of Supervisors, "We have not seen the bottom yet" The County expects to receive $21,000,000 less in property tax next year and lay offs as well as cuts in vital programs are expected. Why would we make it more difficult for a company to do business in Sacramento? .
