Rep Terry patting himself and fellow members on the back, and congratulating the attendees to the meeting that things could be worse gives no hope to the children whose educations have been cut. Rep Housman, after admitting that he had not been present for the closed door session, or half of the open meeting for that matter, telling us that if it's OK for LA Unified, it's OK for our kids, left a very bad taste in my mouth, and many unmentionable comments heard behind me. Furthermore, and most importantly mentioned in this article, there are *no* plans in place to help the children that have been left behind in this decision.
