About Me

My actual name is Ann Schmidt. I'm not afraid to stand as who I am, but I am better known on the internet as geofreak. I am a citizen of Sacramento, a civil servant, and just want to do my part to make this world a better place. I have lived in Sacramento since 1997. This is the longest I have ever lived anywhere. My educational background has given me an insight to the various policy issues concerning our natural resources. I am always learning and just beginning to understand that my voice has power when combined with yours.

Conversation about: Discussion grows over Nestle water bottling plant

Where do you come from Max? When water is bottled and people are made to believe it is healthier than tap water, guess what, it is. When people don't demand high quality water at the tap, the government answers the peoples vote to bottle our water. It is so sad that I walk through capitol park and find an old broken drinking fountain. Water is necessary for life. Water in a bottle is a packaged, advertised, and sold lie. The people are just now beginning to understand how they have been duped...me included.
